Pumping on the bicycle pump triggers the sound of a breath and pushes the avalanche back up the mountain.
The Avalanche is released when you stop pumping.

Waves and Signs was a conference, workshop, and dance party organized by Wendy Jacob. The event was built around a large, raised floor embedded with speakers and activated by low-frequency vibration. By sitting or lying on the floor, participants are able to experience sound through the body. The floor was used as a platform on which to hold a dialog (in speech and sign) between artists, designers, and scientists.
