In collaboration with Benjamin Love and the Centre for Investigation, Research, and Discovery.
Ben makes a series of paintings as Jess. He attempts to embody me by wearing my clothes and a mask of my head. The starting point for each painting is the title of a project I have made in the past. Holding the canvas as he paints, I watch him work and sometimes question his decisions. Together we try to figure out when the painting is finished. In the background, a recording of my laugh emanates from a boom box.
